Pipe Surround Speakers

Designer: JLar

Project Time: 1-8 hours
Project Complexity: Hobbyist
Project Cost: Under $100

Driver Selection
– Goldwood GW-S525/8 5-1/4″ Poly Cone Woofer 8 Ohm – Pyle Pro PSN1165 4.35″ Piezo Horn Tweeter Pair

Enclosure Design
2′ long black pvc pipe from home depot with converting flanges from 4″ to 5.25″ (woofers) and one from 4″ to 3″ (tweeter). both with tighteners so I could change circumference of holes. drain cap on bottom acts as port.

Enclosure Assembly
no adhesive required. just four screws per driver. push-in wire connectors act as terminals. Spray painted front of speaker cone black spray.

Conclusion
These were super cheap speakers all in all. I originally had them in cardboard boxes sealed with duct tape but upgraded to pvc. Now they sound decent and are worth the value.

About The Designer
My third audio project for fun. Next project will be 2 more 12″ subwoofers with lights to match my other project, “The Blue Ring of Bass.”
