Project Description
19″ Wide x 5.5″ Tall x 4″ Deep speaker box made from 3/4″ walnut and maple. The box was joined using 1/2″ finger joints while the bottom of the box was beveled into a groove cut into the lower inside edge of the walls of the box. The top of the box is beveled to fit the walls of the box and is mounted magnetically to the top of the box so the top of the box is completely removable. Speakers are Fountek FE83 speakers.

Design Goals
To create a simple, beautiful, nice sounding speaker to be connected to a Bluetooth receiver and amplifier.

Driver Selection
Four Fountek FE83 full range speakers

Conclusion
This speaker was so much fun to build. I have never looked into building a speaker until recently. I have had so many comments on my speaker and will be building a new speaker as soon as I can.

About the Designer
I graduated as an Electronics Engineer in 1990 and have worked as a biomedical equipment technician either in hospitals or as a field service engineer for the past 25 years.
