211 single end amp
Designer: demanfos
Project Time: 8-20 hours
Project Complexity: Hobbyist
Project Cost: $500-$1000
Concept
This is the second 211 amp which I have built. I happen to set this one up to be able to be able to swap preamp section of this integrated amp. I’m able to use the various 6sn7’s and the various 2at’s that are made. This way I am able to secure of the best small signal tubes in the world to see how well the perform with the 211’s as output with 24 watts rms. I use this amp with a couple of speakers I design to work like magic with this amp. Sonic bliss is what I was hoping to achieve, and that is what happen. I’m using a total of 1250vdc on the plate of the 211’s. I’m driving them with 6sn7 setup in srpp configuration.
About The Designer
I have a associate in electronic engineering, but I actually acquired my skill in the use of tube as a child of 15 years of age working with a friend who was a ham operator who was 16 years old, back in 1965. I didn’t start this hobby again until about 8 years ago.
