Two way monitor speaker with 8” woofer, 1” tweeter

Design Goals:

Flat response, 100w handling.

Driver Selection:

Woofer is PE sig225-4, tweeter is PE dc25t-8

Enclosure Design:

37 liter with 2” port (rear)

Enclosure Assembly:

3/4 plywood

Tips & Tricks:

Phasing is crucial. Not enough room for 1x wavelength so i spaced woofer and tweeter 2x wavelength apart. Good vertical response and excellent off axis response horizontally.

Conclusion:

Great. Clean, crisp mid-highs, good bass, smooth response. Tweeter is a little “tinny” to me (from mp3 music source) especially at high volume.
