Overview
The car stereo is basically an MP3 module with a AM/FM tuner and small amplifier all in one. The box is 1/2 inch plywood with a 1/2 inch thick extruded black plastic front. Dimensions are 20″L x 12″H x 10″D, The speakers are ‘Boss Phantom Skull’ 5.25 & 6.50. The tweeters are “Vifa” square frame 1″ tweeters with a 3500hz capacitor and a 1 ohm 5 watt resistor crossover. The box is covered with Black Bronco vinyl Tolex, Peavey small rubber feet, Penn-Elcom cabinet corners and a 10 inch carry strap finish the outside. Red led volt meter and a blue skull switch accompany the front. The rear has two 1 inch ID X 4 inch long port tubes, along with a pair of Dayton gold binding posts for charging The 12 volt 12ah power supply battery inside the box below the mechless unit. The portable stereo weighs about 20 lbs. A full charge lasts about 6 hours on medium to high volume. No iPod needed because the tunes are all on a 16GB Secure Digital (SD) Card. The Jukebox Diablo has been tested at several outings, picnics and tailgate parties. Everyone who sees it and hears it always Exclaim, “Can you make one for me?!..”
